Dr. Wool graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at Rush Medical College, graduating in the top third of his class. He completed his residency in general surgery at Rush University Medical Center and Cook County Hospital. He then went on to finish a fellowship at Stanford University in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Dr. Wool is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and the Chicago Surgical Society, just to name a few. Daniel Wool, MD has been in private practice at Barrington Surgeons since 2008.
Dr. Wool has extensive training and experience with trauma, critical care, hernia, foregut, colon, bariatric, as well as advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical cases. He is a native of Northbrook and lives in the area with his wife Sara and two children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
